Silver Cipó (Banistera argyrophylla), also known as silver lilly, occurs more frequently in the cerrado and the border of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The plant, when used for the preparation of teas, has medicinal benefits. It has diuretic properties acting very positively in the elimination of uric acid. It can be used to treat kidney problems such as pinning urine, kidney pain, kidney stones, and bladder problems. In addition, it is useful in the treatment of cystitis and in the fight against uric acid and gout attacks.
